1.12 School days, Garden days

School began with a bang. Laura, in particular, awoke in quite a mood. With three kids to get ready, the house was in quite a shambles. Adaleigh made a mental note that the new home needed to have at least 2 bathrooms. One for the kids and one for the adults. Then again maybe they needed three bathrooms...

By the time they were all done, poor Laurent had taken to the benches outside to rest.

The kids were at least in high spirits. Cameron and Laura even hip bumped each other in their hyperness. Then the bus arrived and they ran off.

In the silence, when the kids were at school Adaleigh concentrated on tending the garden and Laurent usually napped for a while.

When the kids got home, Laurent always had late lunch/dinner ready for them. More often then not they ate in the bedroom sitting on the beds.

As soon as homework was done the kids were allowed to do whatever they liked. Laura took to the violin and Cameron spent much of his time fishing by the local lake. But their favorite thing to do was head over to the monkey bars that were just outside their mother's favorite picnic area.

Cameron in particular really enjoyed going to the park. It let him be outside and also enjoy the company of his siblings and the other kids from the neighborhood.

And like their mother before them, the kids often found they were the only ones willing to clean up the park area.

Although Collin was as much willing to play in the trash as he was to clean it up.

"We need to have an open concept kitchen, dining and living room area. That way the kids can do their homework right where I can see them and I can help them with their homework a little bit too."

While the kids were at the park, Adaleigh and Laurent worked on their design for the new house and the garden.

Soon the kids all had 'A' and were considered top of their class.

The garden had progressed and she had 5 perfect plants and four others that would soon follow. With the time that had already been taken she decided that once 8 plants were perfect she would notify the Council and the construction could begin.

Finishing up the last bit on the plans, she sent out the email to the Simsville City Council for the final approvals. Once that approval came, all she would have to do would be notify them when she had completed her end of the bargain. She had done everything she could at this point.  Now all that was left was to wait.
