1.11 Triple Birthdays

The big day was upon them before they could even blink. They eventually decided to go with a turquoise and bronze theme. Adaleigh set up a little display. Of course, Laurent spent the morning cooking up all the food.

The night before they spent a lot of the night blowing up balloons. There were balloons in every concieveable place. With the small table on the porch sold, they bought a long outdoor table. The place look bright and festive and all the toddlers were dressed in their very best party wear.

Of course, for all their planning. The only person who decided to show was Timonthy Rocco, a random co-worker of Laurent's. He seemed nice enough, but Adaleigh found his thin little moustache a little creepy.

Collin agreed, either that or the fussy little boy was debating if candles near balloons was a good idea.

Still being the oldest, Collin blew out his candles first.

He aged up into a very smartly dressed little boy. Adaleigh still could not believe how much like his father he looked. He even seemed to possess the same smolder eyes that Laurent had. Someday he might just make a lot of girls very flustered. He gained the creative trait and happy toddler traits showing that even with everything else, he was well taken care of.

Next Cameron, as the middle child blew out his candles. In typical fashion he aged up with very little fanfare. Although his older brother did throw some confetti for him.

Being the middle child, Cameron appeared to favor both parents. His eyes even were a muddled mix of brown and blue making them appear almost grey. Still he appeared to retain his silly sense of humor. The outfit he chose was anything but traditional.

He gained the Loves the Outdoors trait showing that despite his time indoors as a toddler, he gained an appreciation for the garden and all the things that it entailed.

And of course, last but not least, baby Laura went to blow out her candles. Laurent had been called into work but because it was the kids birthday he immediately called off. He had hesitated but Laura's impending birthday begged that he be there for his little girl.

She aged into childhood quite angrily and though it was hard to tell, behind her strange glasses she had inherited her mother's hazel brown eyes. In fact of all the kids, she looked the most like Adaleigh. Since it was their big birthday Adaleigh and Laurent had decided they could wear whatever clothes they like... but tomorrow Adaleigh made a mental note to do Laura's hair in a softer style.

Like Collin, she also gained the Creative Trait. Looks like both she and her older brother took after her mother and father who both also have this trait.

With all the children aged up, Adaleigh allowed herself a small nap on the bench, while everyone else dug into the food that Laurent had spent the morning making.

Cameron still held his appreciation of his dad's cooking even though he had inherited his mother's love of the outdoors. A true mix of these two apparently.

The party went on for the rest of the day. The kids ate and played and Laurent and Timothy chatted about the food and how it might be improved.

The house needed a small renovation in order for everyone and their beds to fit. So Adaleigh had the house slightly extended and the toddler beds were replaced with 3 children sized beds. They weren't the best quality but their stay was temporary so Adaleigh told herself that when they moved into the new house she would make sure they got much better beds. And their own rooms...
